Qualifying Period
Qualifying takes place exclusively at Suite Shots Fargo during regular business hours.
Purchase is not required for entry into the contest. Bays can be used for free via the Dakota Junior bay at Suite Shots. This bay is available for one hour per junior golfer per day Monday – Thursday during all Suite Shots business hours and Friday until 5pm.
The qualifier will be run via an event posted on each bay screen. There are no designated bays for the qualifier.
Contestants may hit as many drives as they like during the qualifying window.
All qualifying drives must be hit in the official TopTracer Long Drive event.
Distances are automatically recorded and stored in the contestant’s TopTracer Range profile and the event leaderboard.
Only drives completed in the event and while logged into the contestant’s personal TopTracer profile count.
The five (5) longest valid drives in each age/gender category (Boys Grades 7-8, Boys 9-10, Boys 11-12 and Girls Grades 7-8, Girls 9-10, Girls 11-12) advance to the Finals.
Younger-division qualifiers will be scored by the designated on-site score keeper during special sessions.
Finals Format
The top 5 distances from each age category advance to the Finals.
Each finalist receives 2 minutes and 30 seconds to hit exactly 6 balls in the TopTracer Long Drive game mode.
The single furthest ball that lands in the grid (valid fairway/target area) determines the winner. Out-of-bounds or untracked shots do not count.
In the event of a tie for furthest distance, the tie will be broken by the next-longest valid ball hit during the 6-ball round.
Finals will be conducted on a designated bay under staff supervision.
Scoring, Equipment and Technology
All distances are measured and verified by the official TopTracer Range system.
All equipment used must be a legal golf club as designated per USGA rules.
No manual adjustments or external measuring devices are permitted.
TopTracer Long Drive mode records carry distance, ball speed, and landing grid location. Only balls landing within the designated 60-yard-wide driving grid are eligible.
